Introduction：

Prof. Chen Wei, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Standing Committee Member and Vice President of Jiangnan University, Director of National Functional Food Engineering Technology Research Center, Chairman of Probiotics Branch of Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology, Doctoral Supervisor, Distinguished Professor of Changjiang Scholar. He is mainly engaged in the teaching and research of food microbiology. He has presided over more than 10 projects including the National 863 Program, the National Science and Technology Support Program, and the National Natural Science Foundation Project. His achievements have won more than 10 awards at the national and provincial levels, including “functionality”. The key technology for efficient screening and application of probiotic lactic acid bacteria won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress; more than 300 research papers were published, including more than 110 SCI papers; 72 national invention patents were applied, including 8 international patents; 5 books and textbooks were published. In 2014, the “Research and Practice of Talent Cultivation Model for Food Practice Innovation Chain Education” won the first prize of National Teaching Achievements in 2014.
