Introduction：

Xu Chundi is a chief physician, professor and doctoral supervisor. Now, she acts as director of Department of Pediatrics under Ruijin Hospital Attached to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, director of Department of Pediatrics under north branch of this hospital, director of Pediatrics Teaching and Research Office under Ruijin School of Clinical Medicine of Shanghai Jiaotong University, and head of infant digestion project, a national clinical key specialty. She is also deputy leader of the expert group of pediatric endoscope treatment technology under National Health and Family Planning Commission, leader of pediatric cooperation group under Chinese Society of Gastroenterology, chairman of the minimally invasive group of infant digestion under Minimally Invasive Committee of Chinese Maternal and Child Health Association(CMCHA), standing committee member of Committee on Child Health under CMDA, member of Society of Pediatrics and leader of the pediatric digestology group under Chinese Medical Association Shanghai Branch, and honorary leader of the digestology group under Society of Pediatrics of Shanghai Medical Association. Additionally, Xu serves as a member of the first editorial board of Chinese Journal of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, standing editorial board member or editorial board member of multiple journals such as Chinese Journal of Pediatrics and World Journal of Pediatrics.

Xu Chundi is long engaged in clinical and research work of pediatric digestion, and in main treatment of infantile diarrhea, emesis, stomachache, bloody stools, inflammatory bowel diseases. She published over 160 papers collected in SCI and core journals. She mainly compiled multiple books on pediatric gastroenteropathy, participated in compilation of many textbooks under state planning, and were granted by the author award for publication of most papers or that for most frequent citation by Chinese Journal of Pediatrics.  She led and completed many national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, got the Third Prize of Wu Jieping Medical Research Award – Paul Janssen Pharmaceutical Research Award under NHFPC, the Third Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, Shi Siming Medical Research Award under Shanghai Medical Association, International Outstanding Award by World Congress of Pediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition (WCPGHAN), the Second Prize of Huaxia Medical Science Awards,  the 9th Song Qingling Pediatric Medicine Award, and the Third Prize of Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award.
