Introduction:

 With a degree in Doctor of Medicine, Yu Huimin is a professor of pediatrics and doctoral supervisor, and chief physician, Department of Neonatology, the Children’s Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine. His research focuses include: brain injury of newborns, newborn nutrition and pediatric infectious diseases. He was vice-president of business, the Children’s Hospital under Zhejiang University School of Medicine, vice-chairman of Chinese Society of Perinatal Medicine, and academic secretary of newborn group under Chinese Pediatric Society of Chinese Medical Association. Now, he serves as deputy director of Pediatrics Research Institute, Zhejiang University, vice-chairman of Neonatologist Society, Chinese Medical Doctor Association (CMDA), chairman of Infection Professional Committee, special expert of pediatric nutrition project, CMDA, chairman of Society of Perinatal Medicine under Zhejiang Medical Association (ZMA), vice-chairman of Pediatric Society under ZMA, and vice-chairman of Society of Pediatric Physicians under ZMA.

Yu Huimin acts as deputy editor-in-chief, editorial board member or special reviewer of over 10 core journals of medicine such as Chinese Journal of Neonatology, and World Journal of Pediatrics.  He has published more than 130 professional papers in domestic and overseas core medicine journals, and participated in compilation of various pediatrics monographs or over 10 types of textbooks. He has led or undertaken 16 projects of international cooperation, Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and provincial and ministerial-level scientific research. He won the Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Zhejiang Province (two projects), the First Prize of Zhejiang Provincial Medical Science and Technology Award (one project), and the Second Prize of Zhejiang Provincial Teaching Achievements (one project).
