In 2014, BINC supported 30 items of mother and children’s healthcare research projects nationwide, with the total amount of 1 million yuan. The major supported fields are as follows:

1. Pregnancy nutrition and mother and children’ s health (including pregnant women, fetus, newborns and infant health);

2. Regular monitoring of pregnant women and fetus development;

3. Appropriate techniques for feeding infants and children (including the study of the components of breast milk);

4. Medical care techniques for premature infants/low-body-weight infants after discharge;

5. Appropriate techniques for the development of children's psychological behavior;

6. Study on the usage of antibiotics and probiotics;

7. Study on the techniques related to the standard of pregnancy healthcare;

8. Study on the techniques related to the standard of childhood healthcare.
